East Boldon Conservation Area<\/strong> is either side of Front Street; west just beyond the traffic lights with Boker Lane and east with a dog leg along Station Road, but not as far as East Boldon Station. There are two pubs and a club, all selling real ale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black Bull<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

The Black Bull<\/strong> dates from 1834 and in 1929 it was owned by the North East Breweries Ltd and was then owned by Vaux Breweries. The pub is now owned by Punch Taverns ( as of 2024) and is included in the South Tyneside Council local listing of significant heritage assets.<\/p>\n\n\n

Grey Horse<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Grey Horse in 1946 , from Ron Lawson <\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The Grey Horse <\/strong>in Front Street dates from 1828. From about 1903 it was owned by the Vaux Brewery and is now owned by Stonegate. The pub is included in the South Tyneside Council local listing of significant heritage assets.<\/p>\n\n\n

Mid Boldon Club<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building dates from 1904, with Mid Boldon Club Ltd being founded in 1912 as a gentlemen’s club. The club boasts a full size 1930’s one piece, Italian slate bed snooker table.<\/p>\n\n\n
