Closer to the latter but just inside the South Tyneside boundary. About half a mile to the east are the sea cliffs between Seaburn and Marsden. The conservation area eastern boundary runs down the centre of East Street, the A183. This means that Blues Micro Pub ( where the right hand most bus stop is ( see map) ) is outside the area. A former pub, The Grey Horse, is opposite Blues but is now a Coop Store. In 1949 it was owned by Robert Deuchar Ltd then Bass (North) Ltd. Punch Taverns took it over after Bass. The pub features in CAMRA&#8217;s Best Real Heritage Pub Guide ( see links at bottom ).
